In April, we spoke about Mental Health Awareness Week and I wanted to briefly chat about investing
in our Mental Health.
Let go of the guilt
Guilt can negatively impact our wellbeing and mental health. Don't be afraid to focus on you - you deserve it! And it will benefit those around you too.
Do what you love
Enjoying yourself can help beat stress. Doing an activity you enjoy probably means you’re good at it, and achieving something boosts your self-esteem and, in turn, your mental health. It can be good to have an interest where you’re not seen as someone’s employee, partner, parent or friend!
Avoid unhelpful comparisons
Comparing ourselves to others can have a huge impact on how we feel. Sometimes it can be positive. It can motivate us to do better. It can also have a negative impact on our self-esteem if we feel we cannot be as good as others.
